1984 Ibanez Destroyer II DT-670 Bass (MIJ Fujigen)

Originally released in 1975 (and looking much more like an Explorer than a Destroyer), the Ibanez Destroyer series is one of the most iconic and easily recognisable of the Fujigen heavyweights and favoured by hair metal and doom guitarists alike for their immense stage presence, supreme quality and playability and most of all, the chonky sounds which are on tap 24/7.

This is a 1984 example of a DT-670 bass, and oh man is it good! Those pickups sound as good as they look, the neck is slim and comfortable at a slightly shorter than average 32" scale and the mini toggles allow for some truly epic on board tone shaping capabilities! This one came to me with seized electronics so it's got a fresh loom of 500K CTS pots and a Switchcraft jack socket wired in a Jazz configuration of 2 volume 1 tone. Aside from this, the bass is all original and in great shape with a few odd chips and dings but no structural issues whatsoever. It's been professionally setup and serviced with 45-100s and is playing like a dream and sounding massive!

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 incur a flat $8.99 shipping charge. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!

How long does shipping take?

It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:

For "Standard" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
  • QLD: 3-5 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
  • QLD: 1-2 days
