The KOBOL EXPANDER packs a rare and highly regarded semi-modular synth voice into Eurorack format, giving modular users access to a genuinely distinctive analog character. Its oscillator and filter design produces tones that lean warmer and more textured than typical synth voices, making it a strong choice for ambient, experimental and sound-design work. For Eurorack builders looking to diversify their palette beyond common module designs, the KOBOL EXPANDER is a worthwhile addition.

Features:

  • Analog duophonic synthesizer with 2 VCOs and 7 morphing waveforms for extensive sound-design possibilities
  • Semi-modular design requires no patching for immediate performance
  • Pure analog signal path based on authentic VCO, VCF and VCA designs
  • Dual oscillators with 7 waveforms, oscillator sync and pulse-width modulation
  • Analog LFO with 2 selectable waveforms and multiple destinations for advanced sound design
  • Additional noise generator dramatically expands waveform generation
  • Oscillator sync for piercing lead sounds and complex effects
  • 32 patch points for advanced modular connection and integration with external equipment
  • 31 controls provide direct, real-time access to all important parameters
  • External audio input for processing additional sound sources
  • 16-voice Poly Chain allows multiple synthesizers to be combined for up to 16-voice polyphony
  • Comprehensive MIDI implementation with MIDI channel and voice priority selection
