1968 Teisco Vamper Mosrite Offset Bizarre Electric (MIJ)

One of the most collectable and desirable of all the Teisco models, the Vamper was produced in small numbers by the most skilled of luthiers at Teisco right before the Kawai handover and are one of the coolest semi-hollow vintage guitars going round. This model features full binding on the front, back and F-hole, as well as binding on the neck with block inlays, and probably the coolest feature, a continuous rosewood veneer on the headstock that follows through to the fingerboard. This is an expertly crafted guitar and it really shows!

The collectability and rareness of this guitar is made better only by the sublime condition it's in for its almost 60 year vintage. The finish has only minor scuffs and chips, the frets have loads of life in them and the all original electronics and functioning perfectly and sounding great. The only downside of this is the somewhat unreliable tremolo system, something it seems the Japanese couldn't get quite right in this era. Aside from this the guitar is in original and amazing condition. It's had a full service and setup with 10-46s and is playing like butter. Comes with a gig bag!

How much is shipping?

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 incur a flat $12 shipping charge. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!

How long does shipping take?

It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:

For "Standard" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
  • QLD: 3-5 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
  • QLD: 1-2 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 1-3 days
