1978 Greco EG-700WW Les Paul Standard Alpine White (MIJ Fujigen)

If Randy Rhoads played a Les Paul Standard, this would be it. Made by the Fujigen factory in the glory days of 1978, this is a model seldom seen in the wild, an EG-700WW, which we can only infer stands for white on white. Although once upon a time it may have been white on white, it's definitely closer to cream on cream thanks to time taking its toll on the clearcoat and plastics of this guitar. All the classic Gibson specs here with a one piece mahogany body with a maple cap, one piece mahogany neck and a striped ebony fingerboard. The neck is a slim taper 60s style neck; if you like thin and fast necks this is definitely for you, with a 43mm nut width and a D-style profile that is almost Ibanez levels of thin!

Equipped with a dual set of Maxon PU-04 humbuckers reading in the 8kOhm range, this guitar is capable of some serious rock tones, as well as dialling back the gain to achieve balanced and well rounded jazz and blues tones. The original pots and wiring are untouched and function without issue.

Just had a professional setup with 10-46s, this bad boy is all original aside from what looks to be a replaced pickguard, some changed screws and an aftermarket Switchcraft jack socket that we've just installefd to keep your signal strong. Condition wise, the guitar has no shortage of dings, dents and scratches but all is honest wear and in keeping with the guitar's 40+ year vintage. Fret life is at approximately 85% and the guitar still has the original frets and binding nibs. If you're looking quality and sound that exceeds Gibsons of the same era at a fraction of the price, look no further. Comes with a gig bag!
