Initially introduced in 1977, the Greco GOB series of basses (and GO for guitars) were expertly crafted neck through instruments made to the highest of Japanese manufacturing standards. The craftsman of these instruments employed incredibly high end wood laminating techniques, meaning lots of multi-layered ash, walnut and maple all over these instruments that make for striking aesthetics and phenomenal playability. This is a 1978 model and is finished wonderful two-tone brown and natural combination.

Featuring a 5-piece laminated maple neck-through design with two walnut stringers with a scale length of 34", the neck is incredibly playable with a medium D profile and a gloss finish. Access to the upper frets is unbridled and the instrument has a beautifully smooth taper from the neck to the body. The 20 medium size frets have plenty of life left at approximately 90% with only minor wear present. 

Equipped with a dual set of Maxon PU-3B humbuckers wired to the original harness (master volume, 3 way selector and dedicated tone control for each pickup), this bass packs plenty of heft and punch and respond exceptionally well to any playing style. Capable of a wide range of tones to adapt to any genre, the frequency response of these pickups is well balanced with roaring low end, balanced mids and plenty of top end harmonics.

In fantastic condition for its age, the bass is in almost entirely original condition aside from a replaced truss rod cover and some replaced screws. All hardware, electronics and pickups are in excellent working order. The bass has its share of minor dings, dents and scratches, however the bass is free from any structural issues, cracks or breaks. Professionally setup with 45-100s, the bass is playing smoothly with a nice, low action, no dead spots and bang on intonation. Comes with a non original gig bag.
