A classic copy from a classic brand, the Fernandes RB series was Fernandes' take on that famous brand that has an R and a B in their name. The quality of these bass guitars rivals, if not surpasses, that of their American counterparts. Depending on the model number, you got different features; some were bolt on, some were neck through. Some had single jacks, some had stereo. Some had two truss rods, some had one. This model features a neck-through maple construction, with a single truss rod and output jack for optimal simplicity and reliability.

The 3 piece maple neck has a very comfortable C shape profile with a moderate amount of heft to it, not feeling to thin or too thick in the hands. A full 34" scale length is present here with the bound and lacquered rosewood fingerboard featuring pearloid shark tooth inlays and medium frets with lots of life left in them (approximately 85%). This bass guitar features smooth open gear tuners that have been expertly serviced for optimal operation and stability.

The pickups are a factory loaded set of single coils, but don't let that fool you. These pickups pack some seriously hefty tone and have solid and thick frequency response that secures this bass as an absolute monster sounding instrument! With exceptional dynamic range and great note articulation, this bass sings whether you play finger style, with a pick, or with anything else for that matter. The middle position is particularly throaty with a nice mid-range scoop that sounds great for chugging and picked basslines.

The bass presents as amost fully original aside from a new Switchcraft jack socket installed in house, as well as some replaced screws. In very good condition for its age, this bass is not without wear and tear, and has a nice relic'd and road worn vibe to it with the finish worn away in some areas, as well as plenty of chips, dings and playwear. Despite the wear, the bass presents with no structural issues, cracks or breaks and plays like a weapon. Comes with a gig bag!
