Made in the Matsumoku factory in 1982, the ZZ Custom is a Gibson Explorer that's lived through the 60s and 70s era of rock and roll and is now sporting hairspray and spandex in attempt to hide it's age. Bright, sparkly wine red-burst finish, Floating tremolo and all gold hardware mean this guitar is far from understated in the most 80s way possible. 25.5" scale length for heightened string tension and tuning stability, it features a very tight locking tremolo system that holds stability very nicely and the MMK-45 humbuckers are capable of punching out a huge variety of rock tones!

In great used condition for its 40 year vintage, there are some light chips and dings present on the body, however the guitar is in rock solid and overall the finish is in really great shape. The brass hardware has tarnishing but no corrosion. Frets are at 95% with loads of life left in them. It's been professionally setup with 10-46s and is ready to shred all your favourite hair metal tracks!

How much is shipping?

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 are a flat $8.99 shipping rate. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!

How long does shipping take?

It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:

For "Standard" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
  • QLD: 3-5 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
  • QLD: 1-2 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 1-3 days
