An exceptional early Fujigen era guitar in an atypical but beautifully deep and vibrant transparent dark green finish, this CTL-50 Telecaster is a '72 reissue model with all of the early 70s appointments you could want. Extremely lightweight for an ash body at only 2.8kg, the striking grain pattern of the ash wood is visible through the transparent finish and makes for a beautiful aesthetic. Featuring a pair of high quality alnico single coils with plenty of sparkle and Tele twang, a one-piece maple neck and the highest quality of Japanese craftsmanship, it's hard to go past this beautiful instrument if you're looking for your ideal Tele.

The quartersawn one-piece maple neck is standard 25.5" scale length with a 42mm bone nut and vintage narrow frets with very little playwear for the age of the instrument with a solid 98% fret life left. Transition logo and 70s style tuners with double string tree to keep your break angle solid. The truss rod has been lubricated and the neck is nice and straight.

The original alnico single coils are sitting nicely in the 6kOhm range with spanky, sparkly tone aplenty; if you're after clean 70s Tele tones, these pickups have you covered. They respond very well to overdrive and are just as capable of crunchy, driven tones as beautifully warm and bright cleans. The wiring harness is all original and fully serviced.

Professionally serviced and setup with 10-46s, this Telecaster punches well above its weight (and price point) and is perfect for anyone looking for a prime example of early Fujigen Fender production. In fantastic condition for it's age, a few scuffs, dents and patina are the worst of the wear on this vibrant and unique Tele, althought the pickguard is suffering from some slight warping that the 5 screw examples often do. This does not affect playability whatsoever. Comes with a Fender branded gig bag!
