It's no secret that Greco in the 1980s shifted their directive from classic and accurate recreations of 50s and 60s legendary guitars, into full-on hair metal, spiky, angular and highly original and innovative designs. An excellent example of their bold design movement, the MTX-60 was Greco's idea of a hair metal 80s Explorer model; light, lairy and highly playable with its locking bridge and nut system. Offered in a range of colours, this one sports a beautiful deep red and black combination with tasteful gold hardware.

Featuring a maple neck at 25.5" scale for those who prefer to shred full scale with slightly higher tension than a typical Explorer model, the neck is expectedly thin and highly maneuverable. Finished in high gloss black, the neck sports a rosewood fingerboard and 22 medium sized frets with almost no wear visible at approximately 97% life. Embossed gold Greco tuners and a locking nut keep tuning solid as a rock.

Equipped are the factory loaded Greco DRY 1982 Humbuckers; a searing set of PAF-esque output humbuckers that are screaming to be driven hard! Responding excellently to high gain and overdrive, this pickups are rock solid with no unwanted microphonics - only lush 80s hair metal tones to be had here.

Entirely original (aside from a replaced set of backplate screws) and in excellent condition, this MTX-60 is free from any chips or dings with the pointed edges in particular maintaining all of their finish, a rarity for 80s Explorers. Almost mint save for a small amount of buckle rash on the back side, it has been professionally setup with 10-46s and a smooth, low action and perfect intonation.
