Part of the Collectors Series in Fender's 1989 catalog, the TLG80-60 is a souped up, blinged up Tele most closely related to a '62 Reissue of the same era. It features all gold hardware which is very striking against the all-black finish with matching gold lettering on the black headstock.

The neck is quartersawn maple finished in a high gloss black polyurethane lacquer with very dark rosewood fingerboard. It's got a slim to medium D profile with a 25.5" scale length and a 42mm nut width. It's extremely comfortable in the hands and has excellent playability up and down the neck, exactly what you'd expect from Fujigen craftsmanship.

The pickups are chimey and quacky with plenty of top end with a stronger-than normal reading in the high 5-6kOhm range for both pickups; this means a lot of full bodied tone with slightly less shimmer than lower output pickups of the same era, but loads of bottom and mid-range bite and loads of classic Tele tone on tap.

Condition wise, this is much better than a lot of the TLG80-60s on the market that are usually heavily worn with a lot of tarnishing on the gold hardware. This one is free from any finish chips with only minor swirling, scratches and a small dent or two. The frets are at an easy 95% and the guitar has been professionally setup with 10-46s and is playing like a dream. Comes with a leather gig bag!
