Only Fender Japan could reissue a guitar from one of the worst periods of Fender USA manufacturing and absolutely nail it with a killer axe. This is an ST-72 made in the early 90s by the craftsman at Fujigen factory Japan, and oh boy is it a goodie! Exceptional fretwork, exceptional finish work, great sounding pickups and a perfectly captured 70s Strat essence with a big headstock, 3-bolt neck (with microtilt adjustment), off-white plastics and cast block saddles.

Factory original aside from the welcome addition of a freshly installed Switchcraft jack socket and a replaced pickup cover, this guitar in is amazing condition for its 30 year vintage with almost no wear at all! Frets are at an easy 99% with virtually no wear at all, the finish is impeccable with no dents, dings or chips with the worst of the wear and tear being some light pitting to the nickel hardware. Seriously, this thing is in crazy good condition and is such an epic guitar. Loads of 70s tones from the vintage alnico single coils and factory original electronics in fantastic shape. Neck profile is on the slim side with a 42mm nut width and a medium/slim D profile that feels great in the hands. Again, literally no wear.

Freshly serviced with 10-46s, this guitar will not dissapoint for anyone looking for a holy grail 70s Japanese reissue. Comes with a gig bag!

How much is shipping?

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 incur a flat $12 shipping charge. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!

How long does shipping take?

It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:

For "Standard" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
  • QLD: 3-5 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
  • QLD: 1-2 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 1-3 days
