The American Standard is a series we all know and love. Birthed in 1987 after many years of development and trying to forget what just happened with CBS (we all know what happened), Dan Smith and George Blanda spearheaded the return of a pure, modern iteration of the classic Fender models by melding classic Fender design with modern, player-friendly features. The American Standard was born! It remains the longest running Fender series in existence, topping out at 13 years, and had some great innovations such as powdered stainless steel saddles, TBX tone circuits and a host of amazing metallic finishes.

This particular model is a beautiful Telecaster finished in gun metal blue, one of the coolest 90s Fender colours around! It's a poplar body with a maple neck and a slab rosewood board with a 9.5" radius. Freshly serviced and professionally setup with 1046s, this guitar is everything you'd expect from early 90s Fender USA and then some! Comes with it's original locking hard shell case (even has the keys)!

How much is shipping?

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 incur a flat $12 shipping charge. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!

How long does shipping take?

It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:

For "Standard" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
  • QLD: 3-5 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
  • QLD: 1-2 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 1-3 days

These estimates do not apply if the destination is regional or remote. Once orders leave our warehouse we have no control over the actual shipping time, however we'll do everything we can to ensure a prompt and problem-free delivery experience.
