Made in the late 90s to early 2000s (based on the serial number) in Fender's Japanese factory, this JB-75-US Jazz Bass features a host of mid 70s aesthetic appointments, as well as excellent playability and colossal 70s Jazz Bass tone. The perfect instrument for those seeking authentic vintage sound and feel, this JB-75-US sports a natural finish over ash body which has yellowed out nicely over the years and packs a serious punch from the factory loaded Fender USA dual single coil Jazz Bass pickups, as well as looking the business thanks to classic 70s aesthetic appointments such as an aftermarket black 3 ply pickguard (with the stock white guard included in the sale), blocks and binding on the beautifully flamed maple neck, and absolutely stunning natural woodgrain all over.

The full scale 34" maple neck is nicely flamed on the back side and is finished in a lightly tinted high gloss lacquer. Featuring a lacquered and bound maple fingerboard and 20 medium sized frets that show a 95% fret life, there is virtually no pitting or dents present aside from a few light playwear marks. Pearloid blocks and binding on this neck to nail the 70s aesthetic, it has that typical narrow and small Jazz Bass neck feel to it, meaning plenty of fast runs and easy access to all areas of the fretboard.

Electronics wise, all original here with a nice medium vintage output from the factory loaded USA single coil pickups, offering plenty of Jazz Bass growl from the bridge pickup and warm, rounded tones from the neck pickup. This bass boasts rich bass tones, prominent midrange, and smooth treble, making it a versatile and capable Jazz Bass suitable for any musical style.

Professionally setup and serviced, it's currently strung up with 45-100s roundwound strings for plenty of responsive tone and note articulation. Overall, the bass is in excellent condition with a few light dings and scratches, as well as a slightly larger chip on the body where some clear coat has come off. 100% original aside from the upgraded bridge and aftermarket pickguard, this bass offers a smooth playing experience with low action and no dead spots. Includes a non-original gig bag.
