2000s Yamaha Broadbass BB414 Wine Red Burst

Originally released in 1977, the Yamaha Broadbass series was initially released as a basic model designed for working bass players, however over the years the series has garnered a cult following and has been witnessed in the arsenal of all-time bass players such as Pino Palladino, Nathan East, Peter Hook (Joy Division and New Order), Andy Rourke (The Smiths); and rockers such as Jack Gibson (Exodus, Testament), and Michael Anthony (Van Halen, Chickenfoot). Over the years, the "BB" series has had many iterations and versions and has cemented itself as one of the great bass guitars of all time!

This is a modern reissue version of the original Japanese-made basses and offers all the Broadbass you could want at a very accessible price point. These feel very close to their Fender counterparts but offer slightly different pickup combinations and some very comfortable contours not seen on Fenders. Alder body with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, it has a PJ setup which is very dynamic and packs a wide variety of tones. In great used condition with 95% fret life left, it's had a professional setup with Rotosound 45-105s and is playing like a dream. Comes with a gig bag!

How much is shipping?

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 are a flat $8.99 shipping rate. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!

How long does shipping take?

It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:

For "Standard" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
  • QLD: 3-5 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
  • QLD: 1-2 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 1-3 days
