Made in the early 2000s in Fender's Japanese factory, this PB-70-US Precision Bass features a host of early 70s aesthetic appointments, excellent playability and massive 70s P Bass tone! Finished in a vintage white which has yellowed out nicely over the years, this Precision packs a serious punch from its split coil pickup and is loaded with an aftermarket high mass Gotoh bridge, as well as factory appointed black 3 ply pickguard, open back vintage machine heads and a big, bold USA made Precision pickup.

The full scale 34" maple neck is finished in a lightly tinted gloss and features a nicely figured rosewood fingerboard and 20 medium sized frets that show absolutely no playwear and a full 100% fret life with no pitting or dents. Interestingly on this bass, it sports a 40mm nut width which is significantly narrower than the typical 43mm of a standard P, but wider than the 38mm of a Jazz. A very nice inbetween for anyone looking for something a bit different!

Electronics wise, all original here with an absolutely massive 10.7kOhm output from the USA split coil pickup, offering huge Precision tone for ripping into any genre and absolutely dominating the low end! Thick low frequency, punchy mids and buttery highs mean this bass is an extremely versatile and capable Precision.

Professionally setup and serviced, it's currently strung up with GHS Pressurewound 45-100s for mellow, deep tone. Overall, the bass is in excellent condition with a few light dings and scratches, as well as some yellowing to the finish. Bridge upgraded to a high mass bridge and thumb rest has been removed. It's playing buttery smooth with a nice low action and no dead spots. Comes with a Fender gig bag!
