An absolutely cracking good Tele with loads of 70s vibe and historical accuracy, this is yet another reason why Fender Japan is certainly on par and in some cases better than a USA made instrument. This one sports a beautiful see-through blonde over ash body with a super comfortable and supremely well made maple neck. Vintage style pickups and hardware complete the look with stellar fit and finish work throughout.

The neck is quartersawn maple finished in a lightly tinted polyurethane lacquer with a beautiful D style profile along the full length of the neck, not too thick and not too thin but striking a nice median on the Fender neck profile spectrum. Fender Japan differ from Fender USA in that they lacquer the neck first and then install the frets; this means the frets are incredibly clean with absolutely no lacquer overspray. This attention to detail consistenly sets Japan apart and puts them way ahead of the crowd when it comes to quality.

The pickups are chimey and quacky with plenty of top end with a nice moderate reading in the 5kOhm range for both pickups; this means lots of sparkle and high frequency detail on tap whilst maintaining a full-body frequency response in the lows and mids.

Condition wise, this guitar is virtually brand new with not a mark, scratch or dent on it. Seriously, she's mint. Frets are untouched with 100% life and there are no dead spots or inconsistencies at all in the fretwork. Freshly setup with 10-46s, this guitar needs to be played to understand just how good it is. Comes with a gig bag!
