A 2009 model from Tokai Gakki, this beautiful cherry red SG85 is a mid-range Vintage Series SG clone that represents some of the finest craftmanship the Tokai factory has to offer, at a very comfortable price point well below the real thing! The Vintage Series slots in right underneath the top-tier Premium Series and is a faithful recreation of Gibson's golden era of early 60s SGs.

Featuring a 2-piece mahogany body and a 1 piece mahogany neck in set-neck construction, it has a perfect not-too-slim slim-taper 60s neck profile with a very comfortable 43.5mm nut width. Rosewood fingerboard with no fret nibs, meaning the frets roll right up to the edge of the fingerboard. This is the main feature that differs from its Gibson counterparts and allows more fret area for increased note bending ability and all-round improved playability. The neck feels absolutely amazing and plays like a dream with no buzzing or dead spots with a nice low action.

Equipped with two PAF-style humbuckers (the bridge pickup being wound quite hot for added chunkiness), they sound amazing at any gain level and can do jazzy cleans, crunchy distortion or anywhere in between!

Condition-wise, this thing has been barely played at all with no chips, dings or scratches and only light strum-scratches on the pickguard. Frets are at 100% and the guitar has been freshly setup with 10-46s.
