The Squier Vintage Modified ’70s Jazz Bass is a modern homage to Fender’s iconic ’70s design, and this 2010s loaded body captures that vintage vibe beautifully. Built in Indonesia as part of Squier’s Vintage Modified line, it features a maple body with a natural finish that highlights the grain, giving it both visual appeal and resonance. Being an earlier model, this particular loaded body features maple construction which is both of higher quality and more aesthetic than modern models.

Tonally, this Jazz Bass is fitted with a pair of Duncan Designed single-coil pickups, offering Seymour Duncan style tone at a fraction of the price. The pickups deliver a wide tonal spectrum — from warm, rounded lows to crisp, defined trebles — perfect for everything from vintage rock grooves to modern funk lines. Controls include dual volume and master tone, allowing precise blending of neck and bridge pickups for versatile sound shaping.

In solid all-original condition aside from an upgraded Switchcraft jack socket, this body shows moderate signs of use consistent with a instrument with some scratches, dings and dents visible but nothing major. All electronics are serviced and healthy and the hardware is free of corrosion. Perfect for a parts build, or shop around for a nice neck to suit! Includes neck plate and mounting screws.

How much is shipping?

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 incur a flat $12 shipping charge. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!

How long does shipping take?

It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:

For "Standard" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
  • QLD: 3-5 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
  • QLD: 1-2 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 1-3 days
