With the release of the Ford Mustang in 1964, hot rodded American car culture was reaching a peak in the late 60s, and what goes better together than fast cars and fast guitars? The Fender Competition Mustang was released in 1969 and was heavily inspired by stripy fast cars of the time. This particular one was made by Dyna Gakki in 2012 (going off the serial) and is a '73 Reissue (the last official year of the Competition Mustang). This thing is a total pocket rocket of a short scale guitar; matching headstock in a red hot fiesta red finish top to tail, 2 vintage voiced single coils and classic Mustang phase switching. 24" inch scale length, ideal for smaller hands, power chord lovers or just anyone who loves the feel of a short scale Fender.

Professionally set up and ready to roll with a set of 1046s and a slick action, this bad boy is absolutely mint and has seen literally no play at all (it still has the plastic on the pickguard, need we say more?). It plays slick with a nice low action, the finish is bright and the chrome is shiny and free from any corrosion. Comes with it's original branded gig bag, tremolo arm and Japanese credentials!

How much is shipping?

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 are a flat $8.99 shipping rate. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!

How long does shipping take?

It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:

For "Standard" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
  • QLD: 3-5 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
  • QLD: 1-2 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 1-3 days
