Combining the unmistakable silhouette of a classic single-cut with ESP's renowned modern craftsmanship, this 2012 LTD EC-401VF is a professional-grade instrument built to excel both on stage and in the studio. Finished in an elegant faded cherry sunburst, the figured maple veneer beautifully showcases the timber beneath while complementing the warmth of the mahogany body. Built with a set-neck construction, the EC-401VF offers exceptional sustain, outstanding upper fret access and the kind of solid, resonant feel that has made the 400 Series one of LTD's most respected ranges. The 3-piece mahogany neck features LTD's fast-playing thin U profile and a traditional 24.75" scale length, delivering a comfortable, familiar feel with effortless playability across the entire fretboard. The bound rosewood fingerboard is fitted with 22 extra jumbo frets and a 350mm (13.8") radius, making bends feel smooth and controlled while allowing for low, buzz-free action. A 42mm moulded nut and high-quality Grover tuners provide excellent tuning stability, while the set-neck construction ensures impressive sustain and seamless access to the upper register. Fret life remains excellent at approximately 100% with virtually no signs of use.

A Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge is paired with a Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck, creating one of the most celebrated pickup combinations available. The JB delivers powerful output, rich upper mids and exceptional harmonic content, producing everything from tight, articulate rhythm tones to soaring lead sounds with remarkable clarity. The '59 complements it beautifully with warm, open cleans and vintage-inspired PAF character, offering sweet sustain, articulate note separation and excellent dynamic response. Together, they provide an incredibly versatile tonal palette capable of covering blues, classic rock, hard rock and modern high-gain styles with ease. Traditional dual volume and master tone controls alongside a 3-way toggle switch make shaping your sound intuitive and effortless.
