Made by Maton in Melbourne in August of 2012, on offer is this beautiful EBG808 "Artist" owned by none other than acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter Josh Pyke. Looking to move on from this storied Maton, this is a great opportunity for someone to carry on the legacy of this beautiful guitar. With the smaller 808 body shape, this guitar delivers fantastic bass and focused mid and high range tone and sounds excellent when plugged in thanks to Maton's proprietary APMic system.

The neck is crafted from a solid piece of select Queensland maple and feels wonderful in the hands. Neck profile is a slim to medium D shaped profile finished in a medium gloss that has been wonderfully played in. The fingerboard is expertly crafted from ebony with 21 medium frets and a full 25.5" scale length, despite the smaller body. The frets are in great shape despite the guitar being actively toured with and recorded for the past 12 years with approximately 80% fret life left with minor signs of playwear and pitting. Action is beautifully low with no dead spots or buzzing.

Overall, the guitar is in excellent condition and has been well loved over its 12 years in Josh's possession. The guitar has been a trusted member of Josh's touring party for the last decade and has seen over 150 shows around Australia, having played in venues such as the Sydney Opera House and festivals such as Bluesfest. The guitar has also featured on Josh's last 2 albums and has been his go to guitar for writing sessions whilst on tour. Rock solid and a great performer, this road warrior has been professionally serviced and setup and is ready for another performer to make their mark.
