Crafted in the Guild Plant in Westerly, Rhode Island, the Guild G37 is a large squareshoulder dreadnought acoustic with big tone and excellent playability. This particular G37 was crafted in 1980 and features a solid spruce top with solid maple sides and a unique arched laminate maple back for maximum volume output. 

The neck is 3 piece maple/walnut/maple sandwich and joins the body at the 14th fret allowing reasonable access to upper frets. The rosewood fingerboard sports a 16" radius and 20 medium size frets which have been recently dressed and are clean, shiny and free from any pitting or marking. Playability is excellent here and the neck has decent heft to it making it feel very solid in the hands. 

Sound projection on this guitar is excellent thanks to the arched back, and the overall sound of the guitar is big and bold. The low end is solid with articulate mid and high end projection, making it an excellent candidate for just about any genre of music.

Freshly serviced with 12-53s, this G37 is playing very nicely with a straight neck, low action and accurate intonation. It presents in excellent condition with very minimal playwear and a few honest chips and dings are the worst of the wear and tear. The body is free from any structural issues, cracks or breaks, and the guitar presents in all original condition aside from a replacement set of bridge pins (originals included) and a professional bridge shave conducted at some point to keep action nice and low. Comes with its original (and very well worn) hard shell case!
