1993-94 Fender Japan Stratocaster ST-362 '62 Reissue 3 Tone Sunburst (MIJ Fujigen) (w/ HSC)
Made in the famed Fujigen factory in the early 90s, on offer is this ST-362, which in Fender speak translates into a '62 Reissue but with some more modern appointments and creature comforts. Crafted from basswood and finished in a beautiful vintage 3 tone sunburst, it's equipped with high quality Japanese parts and built to exacting specifications with top notch Japanese craftsmanship.
Featuring a solid maple neck and a beautifully dark rosewood fingerboard, the neck carve has an almost modern feeling D shaped neck profile which is a little on the thinner side but feels exceptional in the hands with a smooth, semi-gloss finish. The rosewood fingerboard sports narrow vintage frets with almost no wear at all with 99% fret life left and high quality Gotoh stamped tuners keep the tuning nice and stable. A 60s Fender transition logo adorns the headstock for a nice vintage touch.
Equipped with its original electronics and pickups, this ST-362 features a trio of original Fender Japan vintage stagger ceramic single coils that offer all your classic single coil tones. Being ceramic pickups, they offer a slightly more intense output with more compression, featuring strong and sharp highs and pronounced upper mid-range. These pickups will handle any genre but will excel in hard rock and punk styles.
Professionally serviced and setup with 10-46s, this is an absolutely stellar example of a 60s Reissue and is the perfect mixture of vintage vibe and modern playability. In incredible condition for its 30 year vintage, the guitar exhibits only minor playwear and a few scratches here and there. It plays like butter with no dead spots or choke out with a smooth, low action and accurate intonation. As an added bonus, it comes with a heavy duty and high quality SKB hard case!
