2020 Squier Paranormal Series Cyclone Daphne Blue

2020 Squier Paranormal Series Cyclone Daphne Blue

Blending vintage Fender styling with a unique offset design and modern versatility, this 2020 Squier Paranormal Series Cyclone delivers an impressive playing experience that stands apart from the crowd. Finished in the timeless Daphne Blue, its compact offset body captures the quirky charm of Fender's short-lived late-'90s original while introducing a host of player-friendly refinements. The lightweight poplar body provides a balanced tonal foundation with plenty of resonance and clarity, while the comfortable 3.4kg weight makes it equally at home on stage, in the studio or as an everyday workhorse. Combining classic aesthetics with surprising versatility, the Paranormal Cyclone offers a refreshing alternative to more traditional Fender designs.

The maple neck features a comfortable slim C profile and a shorter 24.75" scale length, resulting in a slightly slinkier playing feel that makes bends effortless and chords exceptionally comfortable. Finished in gloss polyurethane, it pairs beautifully with the rosewood fingerboard and classic pearloid dot inlays, while the familiar 9.5" radius strikes an ideal balance between vintage comfort and modern playability. A 42mm nut width and 22 narrow-tall nickel-silver frets provide excellent precision across the entire fretboard, making everything from intricate rhythm work to expressive lead playing feel natural and effortless. Fret life remains excellent at approximately 90% with only light signs of use.

A trio of Fender-designed Alnico single-coil pickups provide the unmistakable sparkle, clarity and dynamic response that have made Fender-style instruments favourites for generations. Reading 5.4kOhms in the neck, 5.7kOhms in the middle and 6.0kOhms in the bridge, they deliver beautifully balanced output with warm, rounded neck tones, articulate in-between positions and a bright, punchy bridge voice. Clean sounds remain crisp and expressive with excellent note separation, while overdriven tones retain plenty of bite without becoming harsh. Whether you're chasing surf, indie, blues, funk, pop or classic rock tones, the pickup combination offers remarkable versatility with the responsive dynamics that single coils are renowned for.

Freshly serviced and professionally setup with 10-46 strings, this Paranormal Cyclone plays effortlessly with low action and precise intonation. Cosmetic condition is near-mint, showing virtually no wear consistent with careful ownership. All original with no modifications, this is a superb example of one of Squier's most celebrated Paranormal Series models, offering distinctive styling, exceptional comfort and an incredibly versatile tonal palette at outstanding value. Missing tremolo arm.
