2021 Squier Paranormal Series Super-Sonic Shell Pink

2021 Squier Paranormal Series Super-Sonic Shell Pink

Blending eccentric vintage Fender styling with a distinctive offset design and modern versatility, this 2021 Squier Paranormal Series Super-Sonic delivers an impressive playing experience that stands apart from the crowd. Finished in the eye-catching Shell Pink, its compact, reverse-offset body pays homage to the original late-'90s Squier Vista Series Super-Sonic, a cult favourite renowned for its unconventional looks and surprisingly powerful sound. The lightweight poplar body provides a balanced tonal foundation with plenty of resonance and sustain, while the comfortable 3.1kg weight makes it equally at home on stage, in the studio or as an everyday workhorse. Combining quirky aesthetics with a formidable tonal character, the Paranormal Super-Sonic offers a refreshing alternative to more traditional Fender designs.

The maple neck features a comfortable medium C profile and a short 24" scale length, resulting in a slinky playing feel that makes bends effortless and chords exceptionally comfortable. Finished in gloss polyurethane, it pairs beautifully with the Indian laurel fingerboard and classic pearloid dot inlays, while the familiar 9.5" radius strikes an ideal balance between vintage comfort and modern playability. A narrow 40.5mm nut width and 22 narrow-tall nickel-silver frets provide excellent precision across the entire fretboard, making everything from intricate rhythm work to expressive lead playing feel natural and effortless. The distinctive reverse headstock adds another touch of vintage-inspired character to an already unconventional instrument. Fret life is 100% here as the instrument presents in brand-new condition.

A pair of Fender-designed Atomic humbuckers provide a powerful, dynamic tonal response with plenty of warmth, clarity and bite. Reading 9.7kOhms in the neck and 15.1kOhms in the bridge, they deliver a beautifully contrasting combination of thick, rounded neck tones and aggressive, punchy bridge sounds with excellent sustain and definition. Clean tones remain full-bodied and articulate with impressive note separation, while overdriven sounds offer plenty of grit, harmonic richness and natural compression. The unconventional dual-volume control layout allows each pickup to be adjusted independently, offering an intuitive way to blend tones and shape the overall output. Whether you're chasing indie, alternative, grunge, blues, punk or classic rock sounds, the Super-Sonic delivers a remarkably versatile tonal palette with plenty of attitude.

Freshly serviced and professionally setup with D'Addario 10–46s, this Paranormal Super-Sonic plays effortlessly with low action and precise intonation. A fantastic modern recreation of one of Squier's most distinctive and sought-after offset designs, the Super-Sonic combines unmistakable vintage styling, exceptional playing comfort and a powerful tonal character in a compact and incredibly enjoyable instrument. With its striking Shell Pink finish and unconventional appointments, this is a superb example of Squier's celebrated Paranormal Series and an excellent choice for anyone looking for a virtually unplayed, brand-new Super-Sonic. Comes with original gig bag!
