The Gretsch Electromatic CVT Double-Cut is a modern reimagining of classic Gretsch design, blending sleek double-cut styling with stripped-back simplicity and punchy tones. Built in China in the 2020s, this model features a solid mahogany body that delivers strong midrange presence and excellent sustain. Finished in a rich Havana Burst gloss polyester, the CVT has a bold, understated look that nods to vintage Gretsch roots while remaining thoroughly contemporary.

The bolt-on mahogany neck is carved into Gretsch’s comfortable Performance C profile, offering an easy, playable feel across the board. With a 24.6" scale length, 12" fingerboard radius, and a 43mm NuBone nut, the CVT strikes a perfect balance between slinky playability and solid note definition. The laurel fingerboard is dressed with cream binding and pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays, while 22 medium jumbo nickel-silver frets (100% life intact) provide smooth bends and confident fretting across the neck. A gloss polyurethane finish gives the neck a classic feel without sacrificing comfort.

Tonally, this CVT is equipped with a pair of Twin Six humbuckers, delivering a versatile and articulate voice. Measuring 9.2kΩ at the neck and 9.9kΩ at the bridge (with a 4.8kΩ middle reading), these pickups offer everything from warm, rounded cleans to gritty, driven tones with plenty of clarity. In basically brand new condition apart from a few minuscule marks (and still with the protective plastic on the pickguard), this CVT has been professionally setup with 10-46s and plays like a dream with a straight neck, clean frets, and comfortable action. The Havana Burst finish remains vibrant and glossy, with the binding and hardware presenting cleanly throughout. Weighing in at 3.6kg, it’s well balanced and comfortable for extended sessions.
