2022 Fender Player Stratocaster Capri Orange, Maple Neck (Made in Mexico)

A bold modern interpretation of the classic Stratocaster, the Player Stratocaster combines traditional Fender construction with contemporary playability and a versatile set of higher-output single coils. Built in Ensenada, Mexico in 2022, this example features a solid alder body finished in vibrant Capri Orange, paired with a one-piece maple neck and traditional Fender appointments throughout. The striking finish gives the guitar a distinctive appearance while retaining the clean lines and familiar ergonomics that have defined the Stratocaster for decades. At 3.6kg, it is comfortably weighted and well balanced in the hands.

The one-piece maple neck features traditional black dot inlays and Fender’s comfortable Modern C profile, providing an immediately familiar feel with enough substance for chord work while remaining fast and accessible for lead playing. A traditional 25.5" scale length is combined with a 9.5" fingerboard radius and 42mm synthetic bone nut, striking a practical balance between classic Fender geometry and modern playability. The 22 medium jumbo nickel silver frets provide plenty of room for clean bends and vibrato, while the satin urethane neck finish offers a smooth, low-friction feel in the hand. Fret life is 95% with essentially no wear present.

Electronics consist of three Fender Player Series Alnico 5 single coils, measuring 7.3kOhms at the neck, 7.7kOhms in the middle and 8.0kOhms at the bridge. The neck pickup delivers a full, rounded Stratocaster voice with excellent clarity, while the middle provides the open chime and articulation synonymous with the design. The hotter bridge pickup adds additional bite and presence, producing a crisp, defined voice that cuts particularly well with overdrive. Combined with the traditional five-way selector, the three pickups cover the complete range of classic Stratocaster sounds, from warm neck-position cleans and hollow intermediate tones through to bright, punchy bridge sounds.

Presented in excellent used condition, this example has been very well preserved with only light signs of previous use throughout. The guitar has been professionally set up with D’Addario 10-46s and plays beautifully with comfortable low action, excellent intonation and stable tuning throughout. Combining classic alder and maple construction with modern Player Series specifications and its particularly vibrant Capri Orange finish, this is a distinctive and highly versatile example of Fender’s Mexican-made Player Stratocaster, offering the familiar character of the original design with the playability and consistency of a modern instrument.
