Crafted in Japan as part of the Genesis Collection, this 2024 example delivers authentic RG heritage with the precision build quality FujiGen instruments are known for. Finished in striking Purple Neon, it carries all the unapologetic attitude that made the RG-550 a legend.

The basswood body keeps the instrument lightweight and balanced, while the bolt-on 5-piece maple/walnut Super Wizard neck is built for speed. With its ultra-thin carve, flat 430mm radius maple fingerboard and 25.5" scale length, it offers a slick, immediate playing feel ideal for technical runs, wide bends, and low effortless action. The 24 jumbo frets provide excellent control across the full register, making it equally at home for rhythm precision or lead work.

Electronics feature the classic Ibanez V7 / S1 / V8 HSH pickup configuration, paired with a 5-way selector for a wide range of tones. From tight, articulate bridge humbucker punch to glassy in-between sounds and warm singing neck leads, the RG-550 covers everything from clean passages to saturated rock and metal tones with ease. The original Edge locking tremolo completes the package, offering exceptional tuning stability and expressive vibrato performance.

Presented in excellent condition with only light signs of careful use, this guitar has been professionally setup with D'Addario 10-46s and plays cleanly with fast action and stable tuning. Complete with an Ibanez branded hard case, credentials and tremolo arm, this is a superb Japanese-made RG-550 ready to shred straight out the case.
