A classic example of the Korean-made Strat copies that flooded the market during the late ’80s and early ’90s, this Onyx Strat delivers all the familiar comfort, versatility and timeless styling that made the original formula so enduring. Built during the stronger era of Korean production, these early Onyx models have earned a reputation as solid, dependable players with surprisingly good build quality for their price point. Finished in traditional black with a white pickguard, it captures the unmistakable old-school Strat aesthetic perfectly.

The contoured double-cutaway body keeps the guitar lightweight and comfortable, while the bolt-on maple neck provides a smooth and familiar playing feel. The rosewood fingerboard and medium-jumbo frets make for an easy, forgiving setup suited to everything from rhythm work through to blues leads and classic rock playing. Given the age of the instrument, fret life is solid here with a light fret dress restoring fret life back with no pitting or dents present. With its comfortable C-shape neck profile and traditional 25.5" scale length, it feels instantly familiar in the hands.

Electronics consist of a traditional triple single coil configuration paired with a 5-way selector switch, delivering the full range of classic Strat-style tones. Crisp bridge pickup bite, warm neck pickup cleans and the signature glassy in-between positions all make this a versatile guitar equally suited to clean playing or driven tones.

Presented in good vintage condition with general cosmetic wear consistent with age, this guitar has been professionally restored and setup with D'Addario 10-46s and plays cleanly with comfortable action and stable tuning. New screws, a new Switchcraft jack socket and some fretwork has brought this guitar up a notch and is a great entry into the vintage market. A cool Korean-made Strat copy with plenty of retro character and a great platform for players, collectors or modding alike.
