Grand pianos are known for their beautiful shape and superior sound qualities. With the mechanics and soundboard within the body of the piano placed horizontally, a higher quality sound is created. The lid also allows variation in sound projection by allowing more soundwaves to be released when opened. The GP148 'Baby Grand' Piano exhibits the premium features and aesthetic appeal of a grand piano but its more compact size is better suited to smaller environments such as homes and small concert venues. Supplied with a matching bench.

  • BACK: Multi-radiating spruce posts of the finest quality. Rim construction of the finest walnut and maple hard woods.
  • FRAME: Custom-cast for each concert grand produced. Hand machined and finished in a 32+ step process.
  • PINBLOCK: Custom 21 cross ply maple. Designed for rigidity and superior holding power.
  • TUNING PINS: Finest quality chromium plated thread cut.
  • ACTION: Full size / direct blow.
  • RAIL: Premium aluminium alloy.
  • FALLBOARD: Soft-close fallboard.
  • KEYS: Select all-spruce KEYS with exclusive tri-laminated and CNC processing for accuracy.
  • KEYBED: Select fine spruce in a butcher block configuration. All woods hand selected and graded.
  • HAMMERS: Selected virgin wool hammers pressed to Beale standards. Waterproof.
  • STRINGS: Roslau treble wire (German).
  • BASS STRINGS: Custom hand-wound solid copper in European tradition.
  • SOUNDBOARD: Vertical grain select mountain grown spruce, surface veneered with select spruce to prevent cracking.
  • BRIDGES: Crossply laminated hard maple with cantilevered bass bridge.

How much is shipping?

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 incur a flat $12 shipping charge. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!

How long does shipping take?

It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:

For "Standard" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
  • QLD: 3-5 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
  • QLD: 1-2 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 1-3 days

These estimates do not apply if the destination is regional or remote. Once orders leave our warehouse we have no control over the actual shipping time, however we'll do everything we can to ensure a prompt and problem-free delivery experience.
