Made in the early 1960s by Guyatone, the LG-140T was Guyatone's new deluxe, top of the line solid body electric guitar with a grand total of 4 snazzy sounding pickups with dedicated on/off switching for each pickup as well as loads of tone switches and knobs to keep you wondering for hours on end why you can't get your settings right! Just kidding, it's not too hard. Guyatone guitars are amongst the quirkiest of all the 60s Japanese electrics, and this one has quirk for days whilst still being very playable and sounding amazing. Made in house entirely by Guyatone, the pickups, hardware, body and finish are all made by Guyatone, which adds to the charm of these fantastic guitars.

The maple neck is a relatively slim carve for a 60s Guyatone and feels very comfortable in the hands. The rosewood fingerboard is nicely grained and has subtley rolled edges for a smooth playing experience. Frets are small but with lots of life left at around 80% with some light pitting visible. The neck is straight with a functional truss rod.

Electronics wise, the guitar features a possibly excessive 4 single coils with plenty of switching and knobs to keep you busy. One switch has been replaced, but aside from this the wiring is all original and in great working order. The pickups are a combination of 2 x square poles and 2 x round pole pickups, offering an interesting sonic palette and endless switching options. Chimey and smooth with plenty of frequency response, this guitar has loads of tone that will keep you switching for hours.

Professionally serviced and setup with 10-46s, it's playing smoothly with a medium action and no dead spots/choking. All original aside from the replaced switch, the guitar is in good condition with no major breaks or cracks. Plenty of wear and dings present but all is fair considering the age of the guitar.
