A true heavyweight of the sampling era, the E-MU Emax II took everything that made the original Emax a studio favourite and pushed it into far more serious territory. With expanded memory, cleaner 16-bit sampling, resonant analogue filters, and a powerful sequencer, the Emax II delivered the warmth and character of classic hardware samplers with the precision and flexibility demanded by late-80s and early-90s production.

Designed as a professional workstation sampler, the Emax II became a go-to for producers, composers, and touring musicians wanting rich sample playback, hands-on editing, and unmistakably musical filters. From punchy drums and textured pads to orchestral arrangements and experimental sound design, it offered a huge creative palette in a rugged keyboard format.

What truly sets the Emax II apart is its sound. While many digital samplers of the era could feel sterile, the Emax II combines crisp 16-bit fidelity with classic E-MU analogue filtering, giving samples depth, movement, and warmth that modern software still tries to emulate.

This example presents in excellent vintage condition with light signs of age-related wear. Comes with a bound and extremely comprehensive user manual and a stack of floppy drives! A highly collectible and inspiring sampler workstation that remains as usable today as it was decades ago.

How much is shipping?

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 incur a flat $12 shipping charge. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!

How long does shipping take?

It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:

For "Standard" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
  • QLD: 3-5 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
  • QLD: 1-2 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 1-3 days

These estimates do not apply if the destination is regional or remote. Once orders leave our warehouse we have no control over the actual shipping time, however we'll do everything we can to ensure a prompt and problem-free delivery experience.
