Honoring the heritage of Gibson’s golden era, this USA-made Melody Maker delivers raw, responsive tone and classic styling that harks back to the original 1959 model. Featuring a solid mahogany body and a comfortable, fast 60s slim taper neck, this Melody Maker is built for expressive rhythm work and gritty lead lines.

The neck is built for performance with a comfortable 60s slim taper profile that feels fast and effortless in the hand, perfect for everything from rhythm to expressive solos. A rosewood fingerboard with a 12" radius ensures smooth bends and consistent playability across all 22 medium jumbo frets, which are in excellent, virtually unplayed condition with approximately 95% life left with no pitting or divits. The classic Gibson scale length (24.75") makes for a slightly slinkier string feel, and the set-neck construction offers excellent sustain and resonance.

Electronics are simple and effective: a pair of Gibson single-coil pickups deliver a wide range of tones with clarity, bite, and warmth. These pickups fall into the P-90 family, offering that signature snarl and midrange presence perfect for rock, blues, punk, or garage. They clean up beautifully with the guitar's independent volume and tone controls, but push them and they respond with attitude and growl. It’s a no-nonsense setup that rewards expressive playing and delivers vintage tone without the frills.

In excellent condition for its age, this particular example exhibits only moderate playwear with some of the thin nitrocellose finish having been worn through in the most common areas, as well as some dents and dings here and there. Although not a case-queen, it's an honest example and in great shape overall. Professionally setup with 10-46s, the guitar has a smooth, low action, a straight neck and good intonation. The guitar comes with a non-original fitted hard case.
