The Dean VMNT Angel of Deth is one of the most recognisable guitars in Dave Mustaine’s long-running signature line, a striking Flying V-style instrument introduced in the late 2000s during his tenure with Dean. Built in Korea to a high standard, this model carries the unmistakable Megadeth identity with its custom “Angel of Deth” graphic finish, making it as much a collector’s piece as it is a road-ready workhorse. Combining sharp lines, premium tonewoods, and Mustaine’s own design tweaks, the Angel of Deth quickly became a fan favourite among both players and Megadeth devotees.

The neck is designed to Mustaine’s exact preferences, with a mahogany set-neck construction, 25.5" scale length, and his unique thin D-shaped profile built for fast riffing and precision rhythm work. A bound ebony fingerboard with 24 frets and pearloid shark-tooth inlays offers a slick, modern playing surface that feels at home under high-gain thrash runs or soaring lead passages. Fret life is solid here with no wear or pitting visible with an easy 95% fret life left.

Electronics are centred around a pair of Seymour Duncan Dave Mustaine LiveWire active humbuckers, delivering the high-output, articulate tone that has defined Mustaine’s sound across decades of Megadeth records. Tight, punchy lows and razor-sharp mids make the guitar perfect for thrash riffing, while leads cut through with clarity even under heavy saturation. The electronics are all original and in excellent working order.

A well preserved collector piece or gig-ready riff stick, this is a fine an example of a Dean VMNT and has been kept in excellent shape. Exhibiting only very minor wear with light scuffing and a few small spots where the graphic has worn through, the horns are in excellent un-chipped condition and overall the guitar presents very cleanly having undergone our usual top to bottom service and setup. 10-46s equipped and a nice low action with perfect intonation, this one is ready to shred. Comes with its original hard shell case!

How much is shipping?

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 incur a flat $12 shipping charge. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!

How long does shipping take?

It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:

For "Standard" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
  • QLD: 3-5 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
  • QLD: 1-2 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 1-3 days
