The Vox V‑MK5 Phantom is an instantly recognizable guitar, combining the iconic pentagonal Phantom body shape with modern playability and vintage-inspired tonal options. Produced as a more affordable reissue in Indonesia in the mid-2010s, this V‑MK5 model has been professionally refinished in metallic white, giving it a bold new look while preserving the classic Vox aesthetic. The solid basswood body delivers a resonant, balanced tone, and the unique body shape ensures it stands out on stage or in a collection.

The bolt-on maple neck features a comfortable C-shaped profile with a gloss finish and a 24" scale length, making it easy to navigate and ideal for players who prefer slightly looser string tension and a shorter reach. The rosewood fingerboard provides smooth, responsive playability across 22 frets (99% life left), complemented by a synthetic bone nut with typical spacing (41mm) for stable tuning and comfortable string spacing. Original Vox tuners hold tuning stability very well.

Electronics on the V‑MK5 include three Vox single-coil pickups controlled via a master volume, master tone, and 5-position selector switch, giving a wide palette of bright, chiming, and slightly raw tones reminiscent of classic 1960s Vox sounds but with modern reliability. The jack socket has also been upgraded to a Switchcraft socket to ensure solid signal integrity for decades to come.

In excellent condition aside and looking very vibrant in its stunning metallic white finish, this guitar plays well having recieved a full professional setup with 10-46s strings. The action is low and intonation is perfect. A rare combination of vintage-inspired design, versatile sound, and eye-catching appearance, this Vox V‑MK5 Phantom is ready to perform straight out of the box, whether on stage, in the studio, or as part of a serious collection (tremolo arm not provided).
