The MK Ultra is Marcus King’s signature amp—a hand-wired 30W all-valve head built with premium components, including American-made custom Heyboer transformers. It blends classic American and British tonal sensibilities into something genuinely new, with input circuitry tuned to respond to your guitar’s volume and tone controls and to take pedals seamlessly. A pair of 12AX7 preamp valves feeds two cathode-biased 6L6GC power valves—a first for Orange—bringing out rich harmonics and touch sensitivity. This one-of-a-kind circuit design features EQ controls in different parts of the circuit that are totally independent.

Features:

  • Hand-wired 30W all-valve construction with American-made custom Heyboer transformers
  • Cathode-biased 6L6GC power valves (a first for Orange), driven by twin 12AX7 preamp valves
  • Independently voiced EQ section tailored specifically for Marcus King’s playing style
  • Volume control that doubles as a tone shaper, interacting with Sing and Deep
  • Sing (treble) control for dialling in brightness to suit the room
  • Deep (bass) control for adding low-end thickness once Volume and Sing are set

Specifications:

  • Output Power: 30W
  • Preamp Valves: 2 × 12AX7
  • Power Valves: 2 × 6L6GC
