We have constructed a Music Man pickup that captures the feel and warmth of the originals. All the vintage ‘70s Music Man tone can be found in this version, which uses oversized alnico 5 rod magnets, together with our unique coil windings, to deliver an extended response at both the treble and bass ends of the frequency spectrum. Compared with the ceramic version, this pickup is both warmer on the bottom, and more detailed on the top. This is the tone that changed funk, rock, and slap forever. Available in 4 or 5-string configurations and are drop-in replacement pickups for 4 and 5-string Music Man Stingray basses. These pickups may fit into OLP instruments as well, but check the dimensions of our pickup (on this site) against the size of your OLPs pickup slot to be sure. Combine with our Music Man replacement preamp for a complete setup. NOTE: not for use with Music Man basses that have a 3-way blade switch. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, our alnico Music Man replacement pickup uses oversized alnico 5 rod magnets, Forbon flatwork, 4-conductor leadwire, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal free operation.

How much is shipping?

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 are a flat $8.99 shipping rate. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!

How long does shipping take?

It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:

For "Standard" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
  • QLD: 3-5 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
  • VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
  • QLD: 1-2 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 1-3 days

These estimates do not apply if the destination is regional or remote. Once orders leave our warehouse we have no control over the actual shipping time, however we'll do everything we can to ensure a prompt and problem-free delivery experience.
